Ariella 10 - B W - by Celina

I'm having lots of fun taking photos of babies at the moment, but I feel my editing skills are not yet very professional. I'd love some advice as to what to do to this pic to make it better.
I have already cropped (so the sheet was the only background), sharpened slightly, adjusted levels and changed to B+W.
Also, how much is too much sharpening? I'm always worried that when I give the parents the disc of photos that they'll print them and they'll be all grainy...

Can't resist a baby photo Celina - you know me! Will have a play - thank you for opportunity (and love to Ariella)

PS: is Ariella lying on the sheet, or propped up in front of it? Good idea to have your subject at least a metre away from the background if they can sit up. (I think she's too little for that).

Re images on CD for printing. If you've sized to your images to something popular like 10inch x 8inch at 300dpi (always 300dpi for printing) and done your sharpening at that size, they should be OK.
