Three Related Images

In this competition, members showcase a portfolio of three images which are linked in some way. For example, the portfolio may tell a story using a sequence of images; the images may provide different perspectives on one topic, or the component images may have a similar theme, composition, tone, colour palette etc.

This competition is traditionally judged by a past or current president of the club. The winner receives the Stewart Parker Perpetual Trophy at the end of year dinner.

Guidelines

  • One entry per person.

  • DPI competition only.

  • The entry must be a single jpeg file.

    • The image file must be composed of three images which are visually linked in some way.

    • A single outer border should enclose the work, with borders separating the three images.

    • The three component images may be arranged horizontally, vertically or in any other balanced arrangement. They need not be the same size or shape.

    • A single image divided into three is allowed, but if you choose this option, ensure that splitting the image into panels enhances the original image.

  • File size

    • Same as for uploading DPI images into MyPhotoClub.
      File format: jpeg (.jpg)
      Colour space: sRGB
      Maximum file size: 2 MB
      Maximum horizontal dimension: 1920 pixels
      Maximum vertical dimension: 1080 pixels

  • File naming and title

    • Name your image with an overarching title (maximum 35 characters including spaces).

  • You may NOT use images you have entered in previous Three Related Images competitions.

  • This competition is not related to the QCG Monthly Competitions. So you may use images that you have used, or may use in future, in Monthly Competitions (as long as they have not been used in a Three Related Images competition before).

  • Upload your entry using QCG’s MyPhotoClub platform.

  • Competition opens: Tue September 1st 2026
